Falisa Abu Bakar

Falisa began her career as an in-house legal counsel prior to commencing legal practice as a corporate solicitor in 1997. The initial exposure to concession projects led her to embark upon and build expertise in projects advisory where earlier work had included advising on concession projects for several major Federal expressways and public universities, the latter being on BLMT and PFI basis. Her recent work includes advisory services for the construction of the first of several offtake-basis controlled release fertiliser plants, a latex gloves production plant, a silicone synthesis facility, and the most notable of all, was advisory services on the development of the Pengerang Integrated Complex (previously known as the PETRONAS RAPID Project). Falisa has also advised on a State-initiative transportation project, rapid trains systems and upgrading projects, corporate exercises and new business models undertakings. She also has experience advising on technology-based contracts, having served on retainer basis for over 16 years for clients involved in providing and managing ICT security architecture and infrastructure for various Government agencies throughout Malaysia during the said period.
